Another dead wrestler linked to Dr. Astin...
- WWE is in the process of preparing a statement in response to all the media reports regarding how many wrestlers have died over the last several years. The topic has become a hot one on most of the cable news channels over the past few days. WWE's PR person Kevin Hennessy confirmed to FOX News today that the company is working on a response.
- The FOX affiliate in Atlanta is now reporting that investigators are now looking into the death of wrestling star Mike "Johnny Grunge" Durham and the ties he may have had to Dr. Phil Astin. Durham, best known as half of the Public Enemy tag team, died in February 2006 at the age of 40. Astin had written a prescription for the muscle relaxer Soma to Durham the day before he died, after Durham had been turned away from other pharmacies. When Durham was found dead, his bottle of Soma was empty.
